Fund a new life
It is Salah´s dream to start a new life. Can you help him? Even a small donation would mean everything. We can not change the world or end the war. But we do have the power to change the life of one family. A few dollars will make a difference between a meal or going to bed hungry.
Why should I donate?
If you read this, you must have seen the horrible scenes in Gaza. You are here, because you care. And we appreciate that. You know that there is nothing left in Gaza. Schools and hospitals have been bombed. There is no infrastructure, no structural aid, no work, no income, no banks, no housing, nothing. For example: a family tent – even donated by foreign countries – costs around 2000 dollar! Exactly, the prices are rocket high. Even the small amounts of aid, in the form of food packages, are being collected by other refugees and sold on the market. Everyone tries to make a living and keep themselves afloat and alive. Can you blame them?
You might feel powerless seeing all the suffering. So did we. We decided to make a difference. Of course, our action is just a small drop in the ocean compared to the widespread devastation experienced by the entire Palestinian population. We wish we could help them all in the same way. For Salah and his family, this aid is their lifeline, providing essential food, water, shelter, clothing, and care, and offering a glimmer of hope for escaping this hell. Their nightmare will not end after the bombing stops, since they have nothing left.

Like us there are more groups starting to work in the same way. Do you want to know more about how we started? We gladly want to tell you more how to create your community!
How can I donate?
A group of dedicated, warm-hearted Europeans started this initiative. Due to bad experiences with GoFundMe, we found a new way to collect money for Salah.

Frequently Salah is being informed with screen shots about the amount of donations received. He decides when he needs money to be transferred.
How does the money reach Salah?
The money will be transferred in dollars through PayPal to an intermediary. This is a person who can give Salah the donation in cash in Gaza, in exchange for a fee. This fee differs on a daily basis and depends on the location. Salah decides which person he trusts with this task. Of course he looks to find someone who charges the lowest fee possible. Salah shows a receipt of the donations made to him to the local intermediary who can give cash to Salah in their currency.
What is the money being used for?
We hope to raise an amount of 20.000 dollars so Salah and his family are able to leave Palestine once the borders are open. At the same time we are trying to find a way for Salah to complete his education abroad.
Meanwhile the family needs money on a daily basis to survive this hell. We figure Salah might need 1500 dollars per month. This seems like a lot, but if you see the prices below, you will see how quickly is all adds up. In order for Salah to get the money, he pays a fee to the intermediary in Gaza. Last time, they took 300 euro commission.
Salah and his family have been displaced three times and found out their home, with everything still in it, is now in ruins. So they need money for bare necessities, like food, water, kitchen gear, medical care, blankets, clothes, shoes, you name it. Think about everything you need when you have nothing left. Not even photos ... only memories.
